Enemy Territory
November 19th, 2005Well guys, after an early retirement, ive decided to make a post on ET:Enemy Territory.
Most of you will know this game, it’s created by those lovely chaps who made “Return to castle wolvenstein”. It’s an onlife FPS(First person shooter), and it’s different from any ohter online FPS i’ve ever played. For the first time, it isn’t about just killing any of the other team in sight(although that is part of it). It’s all object based, meaning you have to make sure certain things happen, like escorting a tank, because once it gets to a certain area, it will blast some doors open for you to go steal something or the like. This adds such a new level of playability to FPS’, it makes teamwork even more important, as individuals cannot complete all the tasks.
Another thing, is that there are different classes of character, theres the soldier, who is the basic grunt, the medic who can bring you back to life, the field ops who can have heavy weapons and can lay down ammo for others to pick up, the mechanic who can build things, as well as laying/defusing mines and TNT, then theres my faviourite, the special ops. You can choose to be a sniper of have a silenced machine gun, they can also steal dead enemies uniforms and other players see them as that player, so you can go into the enemies base and kill them without them knowing it was you. It can backfire if the person who’s uniform you stole sees you though.
MrBen, myself, Dinoman and Supergingerman play every Wednesday and Sunday with MrBnes LUG Radio buddies, and theyre always top class games, and a really good learning curve.
I own Counter Strike Condition Zero, but i actually prefer Enemy Territory for its diversity and price (free from their website).
Well, thats me for the now.
